Merbau Hardwood Flooring
Merbau or known as Moluccan Ironwood in the UK

This is a hardwood that grows in a dry tropical climate within the coastal strip, and is widely distributed in Asia, especially in Malaysia and Borneo. The flooring produced has excellent stability and hardness.
We only utilise the heartwood which is brown with pale strips running through the wood, which gives a highly decorative effect. It also has slight yellow flecks in the grain giving it an exotic look. The wood is insect proof and is remarkably strong and stable to weather and temperature influences. The flooring has a smooth finish and for those customers looking for something completely different to oak with a ‘wow’ factor solid Merbau flooring is the answer.
We only import the top elegance grade which is knot free and comes in boxed packs of 2.016 square meters.
The planks are finished with natural oil and are 15mm x 120mm wide. A very easy floor to lay and great for a DIY project as all boards fit perfectly together and require no further sanding or oiling after laying. This flooring is designed for gluing onto solid substrates. We import Polibond elastic adhesive from Europe for gluing down the flooring to solid substrates.
